Field Day 2015 Pictures

The WX was terrible! Rained for almost 24 hours, and the wind gusts were 25 MPH+ on Saturday night. And on top of that, it was cold, down to 45 degs overnight. We had trouble with just about everything, it started with the assembly of the HEX beam (complete disaster) and went on from there! The generator gas cap was not venting properly and that caused the generator to stall every few hours (thanks to Anthony KD2CDV for fixing it Saturday night). We had RF get into a power strip, which caused the TS590 station/computer to crash constantly (W2AXR solved that one). And of course the tent floors had puddles of water which needed attention every few hours. But we kept going, and worked out all of the problems despite the pouring rain and winds. The signals from the lakeside QTH were FB, we had no trouble on any band running stations. We were spotted many times on the Reverse Beacon Network into VK land on 80 mtr CW, using only 100 watts to an Inverted vee at 35 feet !

We placed 2nd in the Atlantic Division 2A category
